Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you all.

In our world today with all the turmoil going on, we see the need for a savior. The wars, identity crisis, loss of morals shows us the need for a savior. The good news is there is one Jesus Christ. During the Christmas season we get to celebrate His birth. The night Jesus was born the angles came to announce His birth. In Luke 2:9-11 we find this account.

⁹ An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.¹⁰ But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.¹¹ Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Yes the angle did say this is good news for all people. This is great news but only for the ones who believe and search for Him. Yes unfortunately there are those who reject this good news. They miss out on the joy God gives us through Jesus.

We are seeing people trying to take away Jesus out of the Christmas season. That is why they say happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas. I experienced this recently. I went to the musical White Christmas. After they got done singing White Christmas The wished everyone a happy holiday. Here is a musical about having a white Christmas yet they couldn't say merry Christmas to the audience, They chose to take Christ out of it. I found this ironic.

Christmas is not about all of the gifts. Not about the gatherings or sales. Take them all away and we still have Christmas. The birth of our Lord and Savior of this world.  Like in the ending of Grinch. We still have the love and grace God gives us through His Son Jesus Christ. As Paul reminds us in Romans 6:23
